The business is only as good as the quality of its work, so maintaining the systems that underpin quality and compliance is an essential function.
The HR and Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring the company is up to date and operating in accordance with the standards for ISO, health and Safety, HSNO, shipping and building warrants of fitness, as well as the full range of human resources functions. To be successful the candidate needs to qualified and experienced in human resources, experienced in managing compliance systems and comfortable working across a wide range of functions.
Key requirements for the person are:
- Sound knowledge of employment law
- Competent at developing strategy, policies, procedures and reports
- Solution focussed
- A relevant tertiary qualification and 3-5 years experience ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Generalist HR skills including recruitment, managing apprenticeship programmes, talent management
- Experience working with a trans Tasman business
The person needs to be detail conscious, very well organised and able to balance these attributes with good pastoral care and the ability to give timely and accurate guidance to managers on staff issues.
As a safety sensitive environment, the successful candidate will have pre-employment medical and toxicology screening.
